National Commission for Scheduled Castes

Complaints of atrocities against Scheduled Castes can now be registered with the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) through its online portal ncsc.negd.in.

Android and iOS apps for the online complaint management portal would be launched in about two weeks.

"Aahaar Kranti" Mission

Vijnana Bharati (Vibha), 'Global Indian Scientists and Technocrats' (GIST) Forum, Vigyan Prasar, and Pravasi Bharatiya Academic and Scientific Sampark (PRABHASS) have come together to launch mission "Aahaar Kranti" with the motto of 'Uttam Aahaar-Uttam Vichaar' (Good Diet-Good Cognition).

"Aahaar Kranti" movement is designed to address the peculiar problem being faced by India and the world ? hunger and diseases in abundance.

The initiative is aimed at spreading awareness about nutrition and locally available nutritious food, fruits, and vegetables.

Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) is a non-profit organization in India that works for the popularization of sciences in a nationalist manner. Its main aim is to rejuvenate the Swadeshi Movement in this age of science and technology for the purpose of national reconstruction.

GIST is an autonomous platform created by Vijnana Bharati to link global Indians with the under privileged (40 crore) masses in the country, mostly residing in more than three lakh villages.

Vigyan Prasar (VP) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

Pravasi Bharatiya Academic and Scientific Sampark (PRABHASS) is a National Digital Platform initiated by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to effectively collaborate with Global Indian S&T Community for collectively promoting inclusive growth in India, strengthening Indian innovation ecosystem and contributing towards nation building.

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN)

The Nagaland government has been trying to revive the RIIN exercise that was launched in July 2019 with the stated objective of preventing outsiders from obtaining fake indigenous certificates for seeking jobs and benefits of government schemes.

Tqhe exercise was suspended following protests from community-based and extremist organisations.

It may implement the identification process with December 1, 1963, the day Nagaland attained statehood as the cut-off date for determining the "permanent residents" of the State.

Indian Rhino Vision 2020 (IRV 2020)

At least 22 one-horned rhinos have been translocated within Assam since 2008 under the Indian Rhino Vision (IRV) 2020 program.

IRV 2020 is an initiative led by the Forest Department, Government of Assam, in partnership with WWF India, International Rhino Foundation, and several other organizations including WTI, Aaranyak, and College of Veterinary Sciences, Guwahati with support from the Bodoland Territorial Council, and local communities.

The goal of IRV2020 was to increase the rhino population in Assam to 3,000 by establishing populations in new areas.

Rhinos are now found in four Protected Areas in Assam: Pabitora Wildlife Reserve, Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park, Kaziranga National Park, and Manas National Park.

Greater one-horned rhinoceros

Only the Great One-Horned Rhino is found in India, it is the largest of the rhino species.

What is "e-SANTA " ?

Union Commerce and Industry Minister has inaugurated an electronic platform named e-SANTA, which will connect aqua farmers and the buyers.

The term e-SANTA was coined for the web portal, meaning Electronic Solution for Augmenting NaCSA farmers' Trade in Aquaculture.

The farmers can freely list their produce and quote their price while the exporters have the freedom to list their requirements.
