Tri-nation "Exercise Shield"

A anti-narcotics and maritime search and rescue exercise, "Exercise Shield", was held between Indian and Sri Lankan Navies and Maldives National Defence Force.

The exercise will further boost the security environment in the Indian Ocean Region [IOR].

Indian grey hornbill

The Indian grey hornbill is found mainly on the plains up to about 2,000 ft. It is found from the foothills of the Himalayas southwards, bounded to the west by the Indus system and to the east by the Ganges Delta.

It is mostly arboreal and is commonly sighted in pairs.

It is one of the few hornbill species found in urban areas in many cities where they are able to make use of large trees in avenues.

On the occasion of 93rd ICAR Foundation Day, Ministery for Agriculture and Minister for Electronics, jointly launched a digital platform namely "KisanSarathi".

Anti-defection law - 10th Schedule

Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued separate letters to 3 MPs after their parties petitioned Speaker Om Birla, seeking their disqualification under the Anti-Defection Law.

They have been asked to give their comments within 15 days of receipt of letters.

World Youth Skills Day : 15 July

World Youth Skills Day 2021 celebrated the resilience and creativity of youth throughout the crisis with the theme: Reimagining Youth Skills Post-Pandemic".

World Youth Skills Day is a United Nations designated event dedicated to the importance of equipping young people around the world with essential skills for employment, work, and entrepreneurship.

The United Nations General Assembly declared July 15 as World Youth Skills Day in 2014.

The day was marked to achieve the Incheon Declaration: Education 2030, which is a part of Sustainable Development Goal 4.
