What is "Sachar Committee" ?
The petition filed by a few residents of Uttar Pradesh asked the supreme court to stop the government from implementing any recommendations based on the Justice Sachar Committee report of 2006.
The Sachar Committee was a seven-member High Level Committee in India established in March 2005 by then PM Manmohan Singh.
The committee was headed by former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Rajinder Sachar to study the social, economic and educational condition of Muslims in India.
The committee submitted its report in 2006 and the report was available in public domain in 30 November 2006. The 403-page report had suggestions and solutions for the inclusive development of the Muslims in India.

Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV)
The first developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021.
The SSLV is ideal for the on-demand, quick turn-around launch of small satellites.
SSLV is a cost-effective, three stage and all-solid launch vehicle with a payload capability of 500 kg to 500 km planar orbit or 300 kg to Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit.
The SSLV was developed with the aim of launching small satellites commercially at drastically reduced price and higher launch rate as compared to Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).
The development cost of SSLV is Rs 120 crore and the manufacturing cost is expected to be Rs 30-35 crore .
The additional advantage lies in the fact that SSLV is flexible and convenient to control.

International Tiger Day: 29th July
International Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation, held annually on 29 July. It was created in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit in Russia.
India is home to over 70% of the tiger population globally.
The Environment Minister also released the report Status of Leopards, Co-predators and Megaherbivores-2018 stating that the report is a testimony to the fact that conservation of tigers leads to the conservation of entire ecosystem.

PM Street Vendors' Atma Nirbhar Nidhi Scheme (PM SVANidhi)
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is implementingPM SVANidhi since June 2020, to facilitate working capital loan of upto Rs 10,000 of 1 year tenure to Street Vendors, vending in urban areas, to resume their businesses, adversely impacted by the pandemic.
On prepayment or repayment, they are eligible for an enhanced working capital loan of upto Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000 in the second and third tranches respectively.
PM SVANidhi is a Central Sector Scheme.

India's first Green Hydrogen Fuelling Station
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), NTPC's wholly owned subsidiary has invited a domestic tender to set up India's first Green Hydrogen Fuelling Station in Leh, Ladakh.
The tender follows the recent tender floated by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) for procurement of Fuel Cell Buses for Ladakh.
NTPC REL and NVVN would jointly be executing the Green Mobility Project in Union Territory of Ladakh.
A dedicated 1.25 MW Solar plant is also being set up in Leh by NTPC REL to make the Hydrogen Fuelling Station completely green.

Drink From Tap-Sujal Mission
Puri (Odisha) is the first city in the country to have city-wide safe drinking tap water that can be used directly for drinking and cooking without further filtration or boiling.
Under Drink From Tap-Sujal Mission, people of Puri will be able to fetch water directly from the tap to drink. Tap water will be available 24?7.
The Sujal Mission was launched on October 13, 2020 to ensure quality tapped drinking water for more than 1.5 million people in more than 15 urban areas.

What is "Dalit Bandhu Scheme" ?
Dalit Bandhu is the latest flagship programme of the Telangana government.
It is envisioned as a welfare scheme for empowering Dalit families and enable entrepreneurship among them through a direct benefit transfer of Rs 10 lakh per family.
This is, once implemented on the ground, going to be the biggest cash transfer scheme in the country.
11,900 Dalit families, 100 each from 119 Assembly constituencies in the state, would be selected for cash assistance of Rs 10 lakh each without any bank guarantee to start their businesses.
